PVC-free lids

[10/18]  With immediate effect, Rapunzel markets all nut butters as well as all Rapunzel nut spreads and chocolate creams with PVC-free and plasticizer-free lids.

Most of the PVC-free lids can be recognized by their blue sealing ring. The blue color of the so-called Blue Seal Lock is due to a novel, thermoplastic resin: provalin. 

Provalin is made without PVC and plasticizers and guarantees at the same time the highest food safety.

At the moment, the blue sealing ring is exclusively trademark protected for a certain lid producer. PVC-free and plasticizer-free lids from other lid producers are white. 

What is the reason why not yet all Rapunzel products are packaged with PVC-free lids? Rapunzel's highest priority is the best possible product protection. Before we change the packaging of a product, we have to first thoroughly test if all our products are suitable for appropriate PVC-free lids.
