Barbara Altmann | Head Sustainable Supply Chain Management at Rapunzel Naturkost

Podcast: How fair is organic?

Organic guidelines set standards that are intended to benefit nature and biodiversity. But do they also consider the people who work in the organic value chain? Is organic and fair trade the same thing?

Barbara Altmann grew up on a farm. After studying agricultural science, she was repeatedly drawn to the wide world for work and study trips: She has worked at Rapunzel since 1998 and is Head of Sustainable Supply Chain Management. She has known the HAND IN HAND partners of Rapunzel Naturkost for many years and knows from many examples in daily life what challenges fair trade poses.
