Tomato sauce, lentil Bolognese

The red lentils vegan alternative to Bolognese sauce! It is the perfect complement or alternative to the soy version. The Bolognese sauce is made in Italy from sun-ripened, freshly harvested tomatoes, fine red lentils and aromatic herbs. It tastes wonderfully fruity and Mediterranean and tastes great with pasta, chilli, rice, vegetable dishes and in lasagne. Simply heat briefly and enjoy. The tomatoes used for this tomato sauce are cultivated 100% in Italy. Rapunzel supports the breeding and preservation of seed-fast organic seeds, e.g. the tomato variety 'Mauro Rosso'.

Preparation
Lentils are cooked in water. Onions and carrots are briefly sautéed in oil. All ingredients are then combined with the tomatoes and seasoned with salt and spices. The sauce is the then brought to a boil and pasteurized. The hot sauce is filled into jars. Finally, the product is again pasteurized, refrigerated and packaged.
