This gluten-free pasta made from 100% Italian wholegrain rice is an insider tip for anyone who loves a lot of sauce on their pasta. Thanks to its characteristic twisted shape, it absorbs the sauce wonderfully. Our Italian pastificio produces these casarecce in the traditional way, using the best Italian wholegrain rice and pure spring water. The slow and gentle drying at low temperatures ensures the typical flavour and the right 'al dente' bite when cooking. Buon Appetito!

Preparation Instructions
For 250 g noodles boil 2,5 L of water with a pinch of salt. Add noodles into the boiling water and stir carefully. Drain noodles and serve.

Rapunzel Pasta di Riso is made from finely-ground wholegrain rice. Subsequently, the dough is pressed into templates in order to obtain the Casarecce noddle shape and dried.

FAQ about Rice Casarecce

All Rapunzel pasta still contains parts of the bran. This is quite natural for wholemeal pasta, but semola pasta is also made from so-called ground durum wheat semolina (types between 812 and 1050). These bran particles, which consist to a considerable extent of dietary fibre, darken more than the rest of the ingredients when the pasta dries and become visible as small, dark dots in the pasta. For you as a customer, this is an indication that even in semola quality there is still a proportion of bran that represents neither contamination nor mould.
