Preparation
The nuts are gently roasted using predominantly renewable energy. Once they are roasted, the nuts are mixed with fair trade palm oil and sea salt and packed.

How are Rapunzel cashews processed?

Rapunzel cashews are cooked briefly in the shell at a maximum of 80° degrees. Since the shell is well insulated, the cashew nut itself doesn’t get hotter than 60°. Heating is necessary to inactivate the very pungent acids in the shell.
