Organic Quality since 1974: Top Quality From Organic Cultivation
At Rapunzel the quality of products is our number one priority. The Rapunzel Quality Assurance therefore belongs to the key departments within the company. Our experienced quality assurance team examines the products with intensive physical checks. Additionally, the products are analytically examined by renowned external laboratories and are tested by external authorized experts.
Exceeding Organic Standards
Complete traceability and transparency are essential for Rapunzel. Therefore, we document and check every single process along the supply chain.
In addition to the organic certification pursuant to EU Organic Ordinance No. 834/2007 Rapunzel also holds an IFS certificate since 2007. The International Food Standard (IFS) that is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) is used for the assessment of food producers. IFS ensures food safety and the quality of processes and products.
During the annual IFS audit an extensive catalogue of specifications is checked by external inspectors. A wellfunctioning HACCP system is one of the basic requirements. To this end, risk analyses are performed in order to prevent any health hazards for the consumer.
Also required for the IFS certification are specifications for supplier selection and evaluation. Outsourced processes are assessed with respect to their compliance with relevant quality and safety requirements.
