This type of salt that is also known as 'primordial salt' has been deposited about 200 million years ago deep in the interior of the earth and is therefore protected against today's environmental pollution. The formation of salt chunks is not a sign of quality degradation, but a quality marker for untreated, natural salt. Non-iodised, non-refined, contains no anti-caking agents
