The three brothers Stofferl, Michael and Karl Well sing about Bavaria and the rest of the world. They invite you on an unforgettable trip into the absurdities of the Alpine regions between ski lift, Alpinismo Tropical, homeland crime, hypocrisy, and concrete jungles. A virtuoso fire station of instruments meets Bavarian rap and soul-stirring yodelling meets rustic-brute dancing, all in the tried and tested tradition of Biermösl Blosn, with familiar musical sounds and satirically sharp lyrics presented in the local dialect. They have Scottish ancestors, Bavarian roots and a cosmopolitan disposition. Traditional music is refined with all kinds of global influences and performed on accordion, trumpet, alphorn, humming pot and who knows what else. It is the supposedly cosy guise for settling scores with the political class, with crisis mismanagement, with mask dealers and other "gwappelten" local heroes and their delusions of grandeur. You can literally smell the incense when the Well brothers start their "Reading from the Bavarian Book". There is talk of prophets with greed for profit, a prime minister with messiah tendencies and the insatiable "Ruach". They sing about and against dullness and populism. They do not want to leave their beautiful homeland, their language and their music unattended, to be appropriated by political forces without a fight. The three anarchist brothers counter the ever-changing mutations with their own answer: the Bavarian version, non-conformist, satirical and always humorous. Well played!
