Voluntary EU eco-audit for environmental protection and sustainability in the company
Rapunzel Naturkost has been certified according to the European EMAS environmental management system (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) since 2016. The EU eco-audit is a "voluntary commitment" and confirms the environmentally friendly and sustainable operations of the company.
In 1998, Rapunzel was certified for the first time pursuant to the former EU Eco-Audit Regulation (now EMAS). Already in 1996, the organic pioneer established an environmental management system.
The EMAS certification confirms that Rapunzel complies with all environmental regulations and meets the high requirements of the EMAS regulation. At the same time, Rapunzel is also certified according to the environmental management standard ISO 14001. Another advantage: through a standardized management system EMAS supports companies in constantly improving their environmental performance.
"Not only do they comply with the standards, but they also go the extra mile," noted Hermann Kerler, vice president of the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. "For us, Rapunzel is a beacon that shines outward. Not only throughout Swabia, but throughout Germany."
